Andrea Natale | I am a junior researcher at Inria Lille - Nord Europe, affiliated to the Laboratoire Paul Painlevé (Maths departement, Université de Lille).

I am currently a junior research scientist (chargé de recherche) at INRIA Lille, where I am a member of the project-team RAPSODI.

Previously, I was a postdoc in the Laboratoire de Mathématiques d'Orsay (LMO) at Université Paris-Sud, where I worked with Quentin Mérigot. Before that, I was a postdoc in the MOKAPLAN team at INRIA Paris , where I worked with François-Xavier Vialard , Thomas O. Gallouët and Jean-David Benamou.

I completed my PhD at Imperial College London in 2017 under the supervision of Colin Cotter.

In my research I develop variational and optimal transport methods for the numerical simulation of fluid dynamics models. I am also interested in the development of numerical methods for data analysis problems, e.g., in experimental fluid dynamics and oceanography.
